How To Raise $630 Million

And what's next for my newsletter too

Hey y’all — what’s the best way to learn how to raise money?

In my opinion it’s hearing from founders who’ve actually done it.

So over the summer I interviewed 60 founders who’ve raised a combined $630+ million for their startups, and I wrote case studies about each one.

I’m calling the collection Founding Journey, and today’s the first time I’m sharing them anywhere.

I spoke with:

  • A founder who co-founded a startup with Tom Brady

  • Y Combinator founders about how they got in

  • A founder who raised $200 million only to have his investors try to steal his company

I also shared my own story of our fundraising journey with Launch House in full.

And over 50 more founders.

Overall the case studies range from pre-seed to Series D and exited companies, across all sectors — and I’m adding more every week.

And each one covers everything about their fundraising journey:

  • The biggest challenge they faced

  • Their strategy for getting in touch with investors

  • How they drove urgency to get term sheets signed

  • How they positioned their pitch

And a ton more.

It’s part of a larger rebrand I’ll be rolling out over the next few weeks.

We’ll be back to the regular Tuesday issues next week, but I’m pumped to share this with you in the meantime and hope you’ll consider joining.

See you inside!
